As soon as you set foot into any Uncle Jack's Steakhouse location, you are transported back to the era of speakeasies and classic cuisine. With three locations in New York City, Uncle Jack's has been the go to place for steak for twenty years. We were invited to experience their classic menu in their elegant Midtown location. While the menu focuses on featuring steak, there are also wonderful seafood, pork, and poultry dishes as well. From steaks to crab cakes the menu does not disappoint.
Our night began with the Fresh Buffalini Mozzerella and Tomato salad. The mozzarella is flown in fresh daily from Carpegna, Italy and the dish also features an extra virgin olive oil that has been aged for 25 years. From the visual aspect to the taste, everything is crafted to perfection. We decided to try out some of the restaurant's specialties which included their Wagyu Meatballs and Maple Glazed Bacon with Chipotle Sauce. Every dish surpassed the previous one, building a crescendo of anticipation for the entrée course. The Porterhouse for Two was grilled to perfection with an excellent char, which made the crust just a pleasure to eat. The steak was perfect on its own, however Uncle Jack's has a wide selection of sauces, butters, and toppings to suit any palette. The Chipotle Baconaise is quite popular, but our favorite was the Black Truffle Butter. The night ended with their popular S'mores Jar, which was like having a small slice of heaven in a jar.
Uncle Jack's Steakhouse is a must-visit for any seafood or steak connoisseur. The most popular items on their menu include Lamb Chop Lollipops, 35-Day Rib Chop, Lobster Mac and Cheese and our favorite, the Maple Glazed Bacon. One of their most popular cocktails which is not on the menu is their Blue Cheese Martini. With beautiful ambience, excellent food, cuisine designed by a celebrity chef, it is no wonder that Uncle Jack's Steakhouse has attracted foodies from around the world for twenty years and will continue to do for years to come. They have plans to build another location in Astoria, which will have a different vibe but will keep on with their appetizing cuisine.
