Your Wedding Day is the most important day of your life and also the most expensive! There is so much to do when planning a wedding from ordering invitations to picking out a venue to finding the perfect dress. Wedding planning can be very stressful especially when you need to stick to a budget but want the best of everything. Finding the perfect wedding venue can be one of the toughest decisions. You need to first choose whether you want an indoor or an outdoor wedding and if it will be a local or destination wedding. Based on your answers you need to find venues that can accommodate your wedding size. We suggest thinking outside of the box! Talk to your partner about places you enjoy spending time together or places you have never been. |
A Wedding in the Park
For a budget friendly beautiful wedding we suggest a local park. Most parks do not require a permit unless you have more then 20 guests (check with your park). If you are in the New York City area, Central Park is an ideal location as it has gazebos, gardens and stunning places for a gorgeous wedding. We highly recommend "A Treehouse for Dreaming" (860 5th Avenue) as it is a stunning gazebo that is perfect for an intimate wedding. The best part of all is that if you have an early morning wedding the venue is empty and secluded enough to have a private ceremony.
Pros: Free Venue if Low Guest Count, Cost Savings on Flowers/Decorations, Stunning Pictures
Cons: Accessibility for the Elderly can be Limited, Weather Unpredictability, Need a Different Venue for Reception
Tip: We suggest an early morning wedding for good lighting for pictures and for less people in the park. Count for at least 2 hours of walking around the park for pictures with your Photographer before or after the Wedding Ceremony

A Marina Wedding
For a unique wedding venue we recommend having a wedding on a Marina. The scenic harbor views makes a stunning backdrop and for wedding photos. You and your guests will enjoy picturesque views with the marina's deep blue waters while beautiful sail boats and yachts pass by. We recommend the Marina del Rey Hotel as a perfect venue if you are in the Los Angeles area as it has an intimate venue for less then 50 guests and a lawn for over 200 guests.
Pros: Beautiful Scenery, Cost Savings on Flowers/Decorations, Stunning Pictures
Cons: Weather Unpredictability, Possible Background Noise

A Hotel Wedding
Planning a Wedding at a Hotel or Event Hall can be costly however it is the best way to customize every aspect of your wedding. You can decorate the venue to match your specified colors and decorate to your heart's content. Most hotels have multiple ballrooms/areas so you can select multiple rooms for your Wedding, Cocktail and Reception.
Pros: Can Decorate your Way, Venue Options Available Based on Wedding Size
Cons: Can be very Expensive, Most Hotels Will not Allow Outside Catering or only Specified Vendors, Not a Very Creative Idea

A Destination Wedding
Destination Weddings have become very popular over the last few years and definitely provide a memorable experience for both the couple and the guests. The most popular destinations for weddings are Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. It takes a lot of planning and attention to detail when planning a wedding overseas and may require the couple to visit the destination a few time to meet with vendors, visit the venues and sort out details.
Pros: The Venue of your Dreams, Memorable Experience for Everyone,
Cons: Costly for both the Couple and the Guests, Couple may have to Visit Destination Several Times for Planning Purposes, Unpredictable Weather, May have to fly out Make-Up Artists, DJs, etc. if the destination does not have suitable options
Tip: If picking a Beach for your Destination Wedding make sure to schedule the Wedding at a cooler time of the Year so the Guests do not get Sunburned during the Wedding! Make sure to Plan Some Free time for Guests so they can Explore the Destinations, Highlights of the Surrounding Areas and Possible Tour Options would be good to provide with the schedule of Festivities

A Cruise Wedding
An out of the box idea for a Wedding is planning a wedding on a Cruise Ship. The benefit of having a cruise wedding is that both sides of the family/friends will get to know each other as they are all together on the ship. A cruise wedding can be a Vacation and Honeymoon all in one. Cruise Weddings are costly for both the couple and the guests and can reduce your guestlist based on the sailing dates. The best part of planning a wedding on a cruise ship is that all the vendors/venues are already in one place from Spa, Photographer to Restaurants so this makes the planning a lot easier.
Pros: Beautiful Venues, Gorgeous Scenery, Quality Time with Friends and Family
Cons: Must work with the Ship and have to take a cruise prior to the Wedding to sort out details, limited Venues that are Based on Availability
Tip: We suggest planning the wedding well in advance and reading reviews on the Ship. Be prepared for a waiting game as your Event Planner has to coordinate with the ship and that can take a few days to get back to you for every question
