The Other F Word: Life After Forty

Award-winning filmmaker Caytha Jentis (Bad Parents, And Then Came Love) just launched an exciting new series on Amazon Video entitled "The Other F Word" which aims to change perceptions of women over forty. This comedic coming-of-age series is about four friends who deal with the highs and lows of mid-life as they reinvent themselves after their kids are grown. This hilarious new dramatic series features seasoned actors such as: Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy), Michael Boatman (The Good Wife), Reiko Aylesworth (24), Judy Gold (Jim Gaffigan Show) and Ben Bailey (Cash Cab). Cast in the roles of the four girlfriends are Stephanie Little (Stuck, Killing the Apologetic Girl, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit); Reiko Aylesworth (24, Revolution, Hawaii Five-O); Holly Cate (As The World Turns, The Guiding Light); and LeeAnne Hutchison (Two Guys, Gertrude Stein’s Brewsie and Willie). 

The series, which was released on September 1st, addresses issues like ageism, sexism, re-entering the workforce, sexuality for women over 40, dating after divorce, widowhood and much more. Many of the ideas for the series came from Jentis' own experiences and those of close friends. Despite the stressful life changes that these four women face during the course of the series, they keep things together and use humor as a way of release and maybe a little wine. The series has done a great job of being relatable to women young and old and can be seen by the number of rave reviews they have received from Amazon viewers! The series is a must watch and we look forward to the next season!
