An Organic Experience at "The Tea Set"

Tea leaves, spices and aromas fill the air of the newly opened West Village hotspot “The Tea Set”. Beautifully decorated with décor from India this Organic Tea and Champagne Room not only caters to the real tea connoisseur, but also provides a unique dining experience. The menu which was created by the former Executive Chef of the Carlyle, Jean Louis Dumonet serves up cuisine inspired by India, England, and North America. Delicious dishes such as “Mayfair Organic Butternut Squash”, “West Village Cobb”, and “Chicken Red Curry with Organic Rice”, all seem to have a French flair.
A healthy breakfast item included on the “The Tea Set” menu is “Organic Acai” which includes granola, organic fruits and Acai berry. “Organic Sexy Detox/Weight Loss” is one of the many organic teas offered and is blended with tea leaves and organic ingredients from India, Egypt, Argentina, Croatia, Chile and the US. If you are looking to have a romantic afternoon date try the “Afternoon Tray Tea Fountain” which includes pastries, truffles, macaroons, tea, ½ bottle of Champagne, and a Jacques Torres chocolate shoe.
Originally from France, owner Jacques Doassans founded The Tea Set in 2009 after discovering his love of tea while traveling through India, various parts of Asia and Europe. His passion for tea changed his life and made him want to share this passion with others. In 2010 Doassans expanded The Tea Set and added the Organic Tea and Champagne Room.
