Sushi Roxx in Midtown Manhattan takes the saying “dinner and a show” to a whole new level. With gourmet cuisine, a show choreographed by “Dancing With The Stars’” Katrina Smirnoff and signature seasonal cocktails, Sushi Roxx is the most delectable dining experience.
The trendy vibe of the restaurant is inspired by Tokyo nightlife. The dining area is complete with Japanese art, disco balls, funky wallpaper, and a state-of-the-art lighting and AV system. The lighting and AV system is wired throughout the entire dining area, adding energetic vibes and making the room come alive! Walls and poles are lined with HD television screens that play hit music videos and videos that correspond with the performance. The performance is throughout the entire dining area and the tables are set up in a manner that allows everyone to have a good view. All waiters and waitresses are professionally trained dancers/singers who perform acts choreographed by celebrity dancer, Katrina Smirnoff. Each dance is flawlessly executed and each note sang is perfectly on key. Performances are interactive as well; singers and dancers will come up right up to the audiences’ tables during the show. Songs from all generations are played, making the dining experience enjoyable for everyone. Executive Chef, Edwin Purnomo, formulates the perfectly palatable menu that incorporates all types of seafood and Asian cuisine. There are twelve signature sushi rolls available; each is unique and flavorful. Our personal favorite is the “Apolo Creed” that includes spicy scallop, avocado, shiso leaf, tobiko and drizzled eel sauce. |
Appetizers offered include wild ginger edamame, yellowtail jalapeno, shishito peppers, popcorn shrimp tempura and tuna flatbread pizza. Definitely save room for desert too; the Nutella Smores dessert is sensational!
Sushi Roxx is also well known for their signature cocktails. Each cocktail is gracefully created by bar director, Gary Wallach. “The Kryptonite” will be available this Fall and includes Avion Silver, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, lemon, agave, kiwi and cilantro. Another favorite is the “Double Dragon” that includes Bombay sapphire, green tea, lemongrass, fuji apple, amaro nonino lemon and apple bitters. In addition, there are giant party bowl cocktails for the whole table to share. Party bowl drinks are just as fun and unique as their single serve cocktails. Beer, wine and bottle service are all available as well.
