Imagine ice skating with your favorite New York Ranger Player in the heart of New York City... This dream became a reality for a number of fans on Friday, February 6, 2015. A sold out, 21st Annual Skate with the Greats Fundraiser benefiting the Ronald McDonald House NY was held at Rockefeller Center. Guests dined, mingled with their favorite players and skated on the Ice-rink!
The event was a fun-filled night for both kids and adults! Lots of families attended and dressed in NHL Rangers jerseys. There were a number of legendary players in attendance including Brian Leetch, Ron Greschner, Ron Duguay and Pete Stemkowski. Guests were able to get autographs and pictures with their favorite players.
There was a silent and live auction that had items such as a reservation at Rao's, celebrity golf package with Brian Leetch, Deepdale caddy package, Rangers game tickets and much more. There was also a raffle that had a grand prize of $15,000. The event raised over $300,000 for Ronald McDonald House NY. The charity organization provides temporary housing for pediatric cancer patients and their families. One of their beneficiaries was in attendance and shared her story of how the Ronald McDonald House helped to support her and her family.
