Samm Henshaw: Slingshot Artist to Watch

​Samm Henshaw’s sold out show at legendary SOB’s was one for the books! The British-Nigerian R&B/Soul singer brought an amazing stage presence and overall fun vibe to the city. NPR’s “Slingshot Artist To Watch” gave a quite a show that cemented his place as a rising star.
 
Henshaw’s album, Untidy Soul releasing in January 2022, shows how versatile he is as an artist. The single released off of the album was accompanied with a music video, “Chicken Wings,” the third installment of his Untidy Soul series project. Released on October 1st, the track is not only catchy but also has a humor to it that is complimented by the vibrant visual presentation. Henshaw plays several characters, one of them being a worker who struts around the restaurant in a chicken suit. His music videos have garnered millions of views, and his songs have amassed over 140 million streams. He has shared the stage with many influential performers, including H.E.R., Chance the Rapper, Tori Kelly and James Bay.
 
SOB’s, also known as Sounds Of Brazil, was the first stop on Henshaw’s tour. After giving an incredible performance that invigorated the crowd, he went out of his way to get to know fans after the show. He announced he would be in the corner of the room for anyone who wanted to talk, chat, or take pictures.  
 
There is still time to see him, but only for residents of the UK. For those wondering, England is incredible so if you want, it’s not too late to book a trip!
