MBFW Spring 2012: Rebecca Taylor

Rebecca Taylor unveiled her Spring/Summer 2012 line at Lincoln Center - Stage on Friday, September 9, 2011. As expected, Rebecca Taylor’s collection featured fresh, feminine pieces with modern lines and cuts. The collection evoked early 90s influence from the selection of the catwalk music to the use of sparkles, floral patterns and slicked back beach hair, which seems popular across the runways this season. Also popular, the color blocked lids in a rainbow of bright green and blue eyeshades.
Rebecca Taylor debuted her signature collection in 1996 in New York, after graduating from the Wellington School of Design in New Zealand. She was also nominated for the prestigious CFDA Perry Ellis award for emerging new talent in 2000. A favorite of young and modern Hollywood, including Rachel Bilson and Nicole Richie, the SS12 show brought out the likes of Whitney Port, Sophia Bush, Jordana Brewster, Louise Roe and Real Housewife of NY, Ramona Singer in the front row. Rebecca Taylor’s flagship store is downtown in Manhattan’s NoLita neighborhood.
Show: Monday, Sept. 12th, 2011
