Opening this week in New York City was Lina Patel’s “Perfect Fit”, presented by eyeBlink. In “Perfect Fit”, three friends grapple with the twists and turns of life, years after college. Radhika (Qurrat Ann Kadwani), a fashion designer in LA, returns to NYC after a dirty divorce to visit ex-boyfriend Jake (Chris Davis), only to find out he has a new girlfriend, Hannah (Rashida M. Stewart). Ex-roommate Mary Beth (Kate Geller) has a newborn baby but her surgeon-husband Takashi (Dan Chen) is constantly busy. The play examines what the 'perfect fit' is for life to discover that each person has their own specific perfect fit. It may be single, married, divorced, black, white, Indian, corporate or stay at home.
This show is a unique twist on how dynamic life and its relationships are. The play is made by the actress Qurrat Ann Kadwani who plays the role of Radhika. She is vibrant and energetic and keeps the story progressing. Dan Chen adds with hints of comic relief with his dry delivery which is on point. Overall, this play is very entertaining and makes you wonder what is the perfect fit for each character. The title of the play was “Perfect Fit”, but instead of pointing out the fits or mis-fits of life, the characters makes the audience come up with them on their own. The cast is talented and the story is entertaining and makes you realize that you need to find your own 'perfect fit'.
