Metallics, flares, and blazers are still "in" thanks to Nina Tiari's show on February 13, 2017 at Skylight Clarkson. Silver, orange, and red hues dominated Tiari's show in styles that intrigued and seduced us. One of our favorite pieces was a high-waisted blue, green, and yellow snakeskin print skirt, which would make a serious statement at the office and a weekday happy hour.
Tiari is a first generation Iranian-American and is inspired by strong and powerful women who value their individuality. Her F/W '17 collection was inspired by various movements in modern art - particularly Picasso in the shapes, Basquiat in the colors, and De Kooning in the textures. Tiari has worked as both a stylist and creative consultant for several international publications and big name talents, including Madonna, Kanye West, and Jay-Z. Although her resume is impressive, her collection felt relatable and ready to wear, while maintaining an air of cool. |
