Did you know that Benjamin Franklin's family had ties to the Salem Witch Trials? Did you know that Marie Curie invented mobile radiography units to provide X-ray services to field hospitals?
There are so many untold stories and facts about historical figures that most of us never knew. The NBC show "Timeless" vividly retells this hidden history. In each episode, viewers are transported to an era of history where every detail is recreated from the clothing to the cars and everything in between. Historical figures like Jesse James and Abraham Lincoln come to life and educate us about their lives. The show is so engrossing that the viewer doesn't even realize that they are being educated while being entertained. |
While this is the second season of "Timeless", the show was not initially selected for renewal after it's first season. By that point however, it had amassed enough of a cult following that within three days of the public finding out that it would not be brought back, a groundswell of support changed the network's decision. Historical figures and events that will appear in the upcoming season include the Salem Witch Trials, women's rights activist Alice Paul, Harriet Tubman, and the first African-American NASCAR driver Wendell Scott.
The NBC show "Timeless" is both entertaining and educational which makes this the perfect show to watch with the entire family! "Timeless" airs Sundays at 10/9 Central on NBC.
