Michael Costello simply outdid himself for his Ready To Wear Spring 2017 collection. He amazed the audience with his stunning gowns adorned with lace, metallic floral prints, sparkles, and lavish flowing fabrics. A few of the gowns were paired with beautiful oversized flower crowns. In addition to the luxurious women’s gowns the collection included an opulent men’s suit, a poufy gown fit for a toddler and a dress fit for an infant. The collection featured dark colors. Models walked the runway in deep purple, dark red, forest green, deep cyan, bold red and black. Gowns were comprehensibly crafted for extravagant soirees and walking The Red Carpet. Notable trends included rich colors, metallics, floral prints, tulle, sequins, plunging necklines, high-cut leg slits, and cutouts. Commentary regarding the collection on the pamphlet from the show described the Midnight Botanical Bash in full: “This season we bring you to a luxurious midnight soiree in a beautiful botanical garden. Gowns are flowing with color and voluminous pieces are ruffling across the landscape. The architecture of the garments are evocative of flowers blooming. The natural beauty of a flower resembles that of a woman. Delicate. Radiant. Beautiful.” To see this the entire collection and more of Michael Costello’s work click here. |
