The Makeup Show NYC made it’s way back to NYC for the first time since 2019! The convention had over 2,000 vaccinated attendees (which we love to see), over 60 brands, educational opportunities, demos, seminars, and more! Taking place at the Metropolitan Pavilion on November 7th and 8th, 2021. The Makeup Show gave professionals a place to buy products as well as network and learn new techniques. The main convention floor had six separate stages with back to back programming. The Danessa Myricks international stage featured artists such as Marika D’Auteuil and Yvonne MacInnis from Canada, Pepe Gutierrez from Mexico, and Michela Wariebi from Liberia. It was incredible to see these artists showcase their abilities all in one place. Viewers were amazed as show-stopping looks were created right in front of their eyes. The Main Stage was taken over by makeup artist Mimi Choi, known for her unique illusionist looks. The Makeup Show was also the place where Myricks launched her new Infinite Chrome Gemstone Collection before they were released online. The collection featured ten new Multi-Chrome micro-pencils and five new shades of her Twin Flames liquid shadow. |
Attendees received a gift bag valued at over five hundred dollars, filled with incredible goodies to try out once they got home. The revival of the event was a success that brought artists, buyers, and students alike together once again. We cannot wait for future events because we know The Makeup Show will hit it out of the park every time. Check out highlights of the show below:
