New Liberty Science Center Exhibits Mystify the Mind and Bust Myths!

Looking for something fun to do with your family? Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, NJ has just opened two new exciting exhibits that will both play with your mind and shatter common misconceptions! Both the "MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition" and "Illusion: Nothing Is As It Seems" exhibits have just opened their doors at the Center for a limited time.
Can you poke a shark's eye out if it was thrashing around with you in it's jaws? Based on the popular Discover Channel TV Show, the MythBusters Exhibit puts this myth and others to the test! Once you step into this replica of the popular MythBusters set, you will feel like a mad scientist looking for answers! The set has countless fun experiments for both kids and adults to |
test out. You can try to dodge a bullet, see if you can pull a tablecloth out from under a table setting, see how long you can hang on a ledge off of a building and much more. The exhibit not only excites and challenges kids but is extremely entertaining for adults! In addition to performing your own experiments, visitors can also visit the Live Demonstration Stage where they can view and participate in live science demonstrations! MythBusters: The Explosive Exhibition will be at the Liberty Science Center until September 4, 2017 and is available with the purchase of a combination pass.
Want a virtual haircut or morph into your inner animal? The "Illusion: Nothing Is As It Seems" exhibit investigates how perception defines the way we see, feel, think and understand the world. Experiences in this exhibit combine techniques that have been used by magicians and psychologists for centuries. Through audio illusions and sensory deceptions the Illusion exhibit provides mind-bending experiences for both kids and adults alike. The exhibit is open until August 27, 2017 and is included with a general admission ticket.
In addition to these exciting special exhibitions, the Liberty Science Center offers countless informative displays and activities that provide hours of learning and entertainment. The center houses a live animal collection, giant aquariums, a 3D Theater, the world's largest IMAX dome theater and much more!
