MBFW Spring 2012: Jenny Packham
By Nina Mehta
September 16, 2011
Known for her ultra-feminine and whimsical creations, Jenny Packham’s Spring 2012 collection lived up to its name. The brand which was a favorite of Hollywood celebrities became more of a household name thanks to the Duchess of Cambridge and has only served to grow in style and stature since. The Monday morning show featured a dazzling array of lace, sequins, citrus hues and a romantic, ethereal aesthetic. Gorgeous beading and cascading floor length gowns were showcased that we are bound to see on the Red Carpet and on the Duchess in the year ahead.
The front row was flanked some names despite the 9 AM start time. Mandy Moore showed up looking stunning and casual in a sequin jacket over a white t-shirt and black trousers. Shantal VanSanten of One Tree Hill also made the early morning festivities.
Jenny Packham graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and was a recipient of the International Couture Bridal Designer of the Year 2007 and British Bridal Dress Designer of the Year 2008 awards.
Show: Monday, Sept. 12th, 2011
