NEW YORK: Housing Works hosted their 7th Annual Fashion For Action VIP opening reception on Thursday, November 18th at the Rubin Museum of Art. A four-day charitable fashion event was kicked off with a silent auction and designer sale that raised funds for Housing Works’ lifesaving services for homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS.
Celebrity guests that attended included Patricia Clarkson (Oscar-nominated Actress), Anika Noni Rose (Tony-award Winner), Tamron Hall (MSNBC Host & Today Show Correspondent), Richie Rich (Heatherette), Alex McCord (Real Housewives of NYC), Simon van Kempen (Real Housewives of NYC), and many more.
The designer sale included product donations from many of the best fashion brands that strive every day to make a difference. The brands included top designer labels such as D&G, DVF, Diesel, Hugo Boss, Ben Sherman, and many more.
The designers’ participation inspires hope and opportunity in those currently living with the AIDS disease. The event was a tremendous success and raised awareness of Housing Works continued efforts.
