On February 9th at the Skylight at Clarkson Square in New York City, Erin Fetherston presented her Fall 2017 collection titled “In Persuit of Rapsody”. The runway show was filled with romantic and bohemian looks. While staying true to her “girly” style, Erin incorporated metallic accents, fringe and sequins to her classic billowy dresses. There were also more pant-focused looks in this collection than any collection in the past. Erin took inspiration from the modern, free-spirited nomadic girl. Fringed dresses were inspired by flamenco dancers in Seville, Spain and babouches were inspired by ones worn in Marrakech, Morocco. The color palette included blush, burgundy, black, ivory and indigo—timelessly classic autumn shades. While in addition to her classic “lighter than air” fabrics, other notable textiles included velvet and cashmere. Erin joined all models on the runway for the final bow donning one of her signature skinny scarves and a black jumpsuit. Overall, the collection was extremely tasteful and inspiring. |
