The 2009 Engendered I View Film Festival was full of excitement, glamour and thought-provoking films. The film festival was held from August 28-30, 2009 at the Lincoln Center and Asia Society. Shorts and films covered topics ranging from sexuality to gender equality. Some of the movies that were featured included Luck by Chance, Let's Talk, Ode to Lata, and many more. The film festival gave audience members a chance to listen to the views of the filmmakers and actors that were featured in the films during panel sessions, as well as the opportunity to participate in the after parties which featured many of the filmmakers and actors. With well known actors such as John Abraham, Boman Irani and Farhan Akhtar, and filmmakers such as Mira Nair and Zoya Akhtar this film festival provided the opportunity to rub shoulders with the best of the best in the Bollywood Film Industry.
The film festival was a great way to explore a lot of non-commercial films that covered a wide array of topics such as infidelity, sexuality, gender equality, etc. Whether you are a fan, aspiring actor, or want to be moved by thought-provoking topics this was definitely the place to be!
