Italians are known for their delicious cuisine and sensational wines. Did you know that Italians are also known for their grand celebrations? One of their biggest celebrations is Ferragosto which is an annual Italian holiday celebrated on August 15th! Ferragosto originated as a celebration of the Italian harvest. Enjoyed by peasants and aristocrats alike, the festival gave everyone the opportunity to gather together, break bread and enjoy the fruits of the labor season. Today, Ferragosto is celebrated on August 15th marked with parties, abundant feasts and fireworks! If you won't make it to Italy by the 15th, don't fret because Barone Fini Wines and I Trulli Enoteca e Ristorante will bring the celebration to NYC! On August 15, Barone Fini wines will partner with I Trulli Enoteca e Ristorante to bring you a specially-curated menu paired with the finest Barone Fini wines! The four-course meal will feature Antipasti, Primi Piatti, Secondi Piatti and Dolci. The menu will include delicious choices such as wagyu flatiron steak, chicken milanese and local black bass. Guests will also enjoy Frutti Di Mare with freshly made pasta. After the incredible three courses you will have to save room for a delectable Panna Cotta for dessert! The best part of the celebration is that for every glass of Barone Fini wine that is perfectly paired with your meal, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Food Bank for New York City. The four-course menu will be $58 plus $10 per glass of Barone Fini wine. Be sure to mark your calendars and make reservations on August 15th at I Trulli Enoteca e Ristorante for an Italian celebration you will never forget! |
