"Secrets of the Dead-Mumbai Massacre" is a new movie made by Writer and Director Victoria Pitt for WNET Channel Thirteen which commemorates the one year anniversary of the terrorist attacks which took place in Mumbai last year. The film really brings to the light people who were involved both as innocent victims and bystanders as well as the stories of the men who led these attacks. This movie tells the story of these attacks through anecdotes of survivors, stories told by those who worked at the hotels that were attacked and also highlights the technology of phones, media and computers that were used to the benefit and detriment of the hostages that were held during these attacks.
Told totally from the point of view of those that were attacked this movie explores the feelings and experiences that these survivors had as they were in suspense for more than 48 hours about their lives as well as the feelings that they have towards their attackers and those who died in this horrible tragedy. To cover this story, Writer and Director Victoria Pitt visited India for the first time. The movie includes those people that were staff members of the prominent hotels that were attacked as well as international visitors from Europe and America that were kept hostage.
This movie has done a wonderful job in reminding us of those who were killed as well as the day that changed India's history forever.
